Hello Marlins!

Here are messages from the Marlins Swim Committee, coaches and officials:

WE MADE IT THROUGH OUR FIRST MEET!!

What an amazing way to kick off our season, Marlins! Time Trials went seamlessly. It was wonderful to see all the swimmers and parents getting back into the swing of things. Parents were ready the night before and quickly set up the meet. As the morning started, parents and swimmers got themselves where they needed to be and helped out where they could. A big shoutout to Alexandria Garcia-Rodriguez Clay and Christina Kposowa for your support around our Clerk of Course! Our swim meet would not have run if not for your support! And a shoutout to DJ/ Announcer Mike Tenney for creating a fun environment that boosted the energy of swimmers and families alike. Thank you!! Also a shoutout to Coach Vanessa for helping coordinator Concessions! But we still need a coordinator for next week! Vanessa can help orient you, but we need to step up and allow her to coach! We have plenty of volunteers for concessions, we just need someone to take the lead next week! Speaking of coaches, they did an amazing job during time trials! They created a positive, confidence-boosting environment for our athletes to thrive in during the practice run for our competitions! And a big thank you to all the junior coaches who supported our first meet as well! Let’s keep this momentum going! Parents - register your swimmer by Monday. Swimmers - keep practicing to get ready for our first meet! I’m excited to see where this season takes us!

Dear Marlin Families,

Thank you all for such a strong effort at this weekend’s time trials. We appreciate the athletes’ focus, energy, and willingness to push themselves, as well as the support from families who helped make the morning run so smoothly. We couldn't have done it without you!

We’re excited about everyone’s progress already and look forward to building on it throughout the season.

Great job this weekend and we can't wait to see you all at practice this week!

To all the officials that were there at time trials, thanks for your support!!! It was great to see familiar faces in new positions. Mandi Armand and Rick Wade, thank you for taking the lead in filling the Referee and Starter gaps. Mike Armand, thanks for stepping up to Stroke and Turn.

To all our returning officials, thank you for your continued time and dedication.

Being a Meet official requires significant personal time for training and deck work, and we truly appreciate the role you play in helping our swimmers grow. Your commitment ensures our athletes are judged fairly and consistently, which is the heart of fair competition. Every call you make—and every lap you observe—contributes to shaping these athletes into champions.
