A message from the coaches and officials!
WE MADE IT THROUGH OUR SECOND MEET!!
Dear Marlins Swimmers & Families,
Marlins Families,
What a week for our Marlins! We continue to dominate the season with a powerful win over Bannister Neighborhood, a cross‑divisional matchup against a Division F team. Our swimmers showed grit and speed from the first whistle to the last, finishing with an impressive 343–148 victory. The momentum this team is building is something special! We also had one of our fastest, smoothest meets yet, thanks to our incredible officials, coaches, and parent volunteers. Your energy and commitment make all the difference on deck! Special thanks for the amazing Erin Strike (not sure on name sp? Mom of Ava Strike) for being Clerk of Course Runner for the Second Week in a row! You rocked it! And Christina Kposowo has been amazing at filling in where needed! That said, we were short both a team parent and a timerrunner at the beginning of the meet—two roles that are absolutely essential to running a meet. Special thanks to Nichole Shao for volunteering ON THE SPOT to be our Parent for the Team Area. We also want to thank Dale and Brynn’s grandmother who stepped up at the last minute (thank you!)! Thank you to Christine Hebron who also offered to help. We cannot rely on last‑minute miracles every week, so please—PLEASE—sign up for team parent, and clerk of course for our next meet.
To all the parents coming out week after week to volunteer and provide wonderful meets to our swimmers - we see you!!🎊💓
Next week WILL BE ANOTHER HOME MEET!! This is a change to our schedule. WE WILL NOT GO TO FAIRLAND.
The Marlins are going strong this season, and we’re already looking forward to our upcoming meet against the Greenview Gators. Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and supporting our swimmers every single week. This community is what makes our team unstoppable!
Go Marlins! 🐬💙

From the Coaches:
Dear Marlin Families,
Congrats team on another win in the books! Your hard work really showed up this weekend. A few HUGE highlights we’re especially excited about are: some swimmers swimming events legally for the first time this year (!!), some great turns and starts that helped pull out the win, and as always - my personal favorite - we had best times across a few different events for the season for 21 different swimmers!
A huge shout out to Vanessa and Frankie for being champs today and swimming up to help fill in some of the gaps on the roster this week that helped create that solid win over BNS! We’re looking forward to continuing to work on refining stroke technique, our sprints, and building that endurance! Keep up the great work - see you this week at practice!

From the Officials:
This past Saturday, Rick Wade stepped into the ring of Referee Officials. It is inspiring to see our officials grow and develop as our season progresses! This team takes their responsibilities seriously, working diligently every Saturday morning to ensure our meets remain fair and competitive.
Making immediate calls in the heat of the moment is a challenge, yet our officials handle it with precision. Please remember that the calls or DQs made by these officials serve as vital, live feedback on performance. Ultimately, these decisions encourage our athletes to refine their technical skills and strive for excellence!
