Marlins Continue to show Grit and Determination!

Marlins family — what a week for our team!

Even though we came up short against the Greenview Gators, a team that swam in a higher division last year, our swimmers showed grit, heart, and serious determination! You could feel the energy on deck. And the progress is real — we had very few DQs in breaststroke, which is a huge testament to the hard work our swimmers and coaches are putting in every day.

That brings the Montpelier Marlins to 2–1 as we head into Meet #4. We’re right where we want to be, and the momentum is building!

Our meet operations continue to run like a well‑oiled machine thanks to our incredible parents and our experienced officials. Every week feels smoother than the last, and that’s because of

Dear Marlin Families,

Great swimming this weekend team! We had some swimmers swim events legally for the first time ever and a few swimmers who were right on the verge of legal swimming - which as coaches is always so exciting to see. Some legal swims we were excited to see: Ava in breaststroke, Carlin in butterfly, John in backstroke, and Ryan in freestyle! We also saw some best times for the season for a few swimmers which is always a win in our books.Next week let’s up that cheering section team spirit! Let’s fill up the side of the pool with that

Special thanks for Jr Coach Kaz for bringing the Star Wars theme to life for this surprise home meet and spending his Friday evening getting defeated by the 8&unders in lightsaber battles.

Shoutout to our marlin of the week: Eddie and Brynn for their hard work at practice this past week that has really been showing up in their swimming. Keep up the great work!
