Good morning Marlins, We continue to evaluate the air quality in this area. Unfortunately as of 6:00 a.m. the air quality was 167 putting it just slightly over the orange zone and into the red zone (orange zone is 191-150). In our opinion that makes the air quality unsafe for anyone to be out swimming in. Team reps from our division are still speaking with one another about what this means. My proposal to the division has been at a minimum to delay the start of the meet so that swimmers are not warming up in the red zone and see if we can get to the Orange zone before the start of meet. My position is that swimmers should not be swimming in the red zone at all. I'm heading down to the pool to speak with a representatives now. I will continue to keep you all updated. The meet has not been canceled as of now. Melissa
